Skeleton trees and a pop of color

My mentor and I love skeleton trees. I have probably posted this one before. But when I saw that red car I couldn't resist taking another capture. I hope you will indulge me. I used Analog Efex to process after trying out Color Efex. Just liked this one a tad better. Spring is on a leisurely stroll and has not arrived yet. May even snow tomorrow morning. Oh well, April is a winter month in Maine.
Nice pop of red, love the processing Joan>
Where's the snow?? Ha Ha

Hi Joan, I like the way the colour and mass of the car balance the tall shape of the tree & the way its horizontal branch just sits along but above the horizon.

@radiogirl I knew you would come pick on me. Been cold and been snow storms that disappear within hours of falling. Going to happen tomorrow morning I should try to take a picture before it disappears.. I'm think May might be a winter month for you.

@joansmor I'm just teasing Joan, but I sure hope we don't get anymore snow in May, it is melting nicely! I can't wait to get out in the canoe!

@radiogirl I love to be teased - so don't worry.

Great spotting, does stand out next to that tree!

Hate to see you using that word snow in nearly May - yuck! But I do like this picture and its color - hope your Canadian Goose brings you some babies to watch - I've spotted another mother on a nest - will have to see if she has some to join.

A wonderful tree, and great lighting on it.

Great pop of red! Yikes- I would not want it to snow this late in April! I hope it by-passes you!

Love the pop of Red. Nice one Joan.

Nice scene!

It could almost be a dr. Seuss tree.....

Nicely done.

Nice simplicity

Beautiful. So hard to imagine naked trees still. Our trees are in full summer foliage.

I like the sense of isolation and the pop of the red car.

Great combination

Love the contrast between the red car and gorgeous blue sky.

I really like the pop of red Joan. Hope spring is on it's way for you

Hey Joan, I am your rather late get-pushed-196 partner. Had a scroll through your photos and notice that you have not played with panoramas for a while. You have stunning landscapes so why not go back and have another play

Love the echoing blue in water and sky and the detail you've captured in that lovely tree

This is a wonderful 'skeleton tree' Joan and I really like that it's almost symmetrical - the red car balances the image nicely.
April 26th, 2016
@vignouse Unfortunately it is dying or dead.
April 26th, 2016
@joansmor An actual skeleton tree then... what a pity.
April 27th, 2016
Lovely tree - no wonder you posted it again. It is worth it.

@hookandy Yes, that sounds like fun. Good weather ahead too,
