Since I've been challenged to hi-key this coming week I've been doing a little reading. I read that to do it outside you need a plain background (here and overcast sky) and you blow out the background and up the foreground with strong colors. I blew out the background but had to bring the foreground in in the processing. More struggles ahead but hey the week hasn't started. Early bird didn't get the worm.
@mej2011 Melissa, I don't let these stress me. This is my anti-stress. Don't let my offbeat humor throw you. It took several tries to get a decent low key. I joined 365 to learn more about photography. I post tries like this hoping a few people will offer suggestions - I am shameless about that.
Here's a suggestion O Shameless One: as a starter, try taking some pastel coloured flowers against a lit white background and overexpose by up to 2 stops.
@vignouse I did the up two stops on this one but brought the darker colors back up in raw. It looked overexposed, But I will try your suggestion if I get a chance,
@atwinfay I don't know about that, but doing the challenges teaches me. There are so many different ones to join. But the get-pushed works for me. But you may just like posting and not interested in challenges.
