@yrhenwr Thank you very much, amazing what one can find in the bottom of a drawer. The pencil shavings were thank goodness not there but in the sharpener.
@gardencat I think you are so right. This little guy has seen many an oops hence no eraser and the top being bent in.
@megpicatilly Thank you, I was using the extension tubes again, thank goodness I didn't sneeze with being so close to the shavings.:):)

Making a great picture from the mundane - except that such items are now becoming rare in many homes, together with fountain pens (my personal favourite still!).
