I am capable of only a few things before coffee. I stretched it this morning, taking a picture while pouring boiling water. Now that I am drinking said cup, I am amazed that nothing went wrong.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond used my cell phone and the kettle is very small (about 3 cups) not to mention a great deal of luck.

@fbailey It a good thing that no one else was around, I might have dropped everything. Coffee is a very 'don't bother Mom until after the cup is at least half finished, thing in this house.:):)
@olivetreeann I went to pour over years ago. I was so tired of coffee makers dying on me.My old copper kettle, a metal filter and a HUGE cup is now second nature. It also helps that no one else likes coffee but me.

@gardencat Strong coffee is a must, I did up the contrast in a weak attempt to capture the steam swirl but the coffee still tasted just right. I'm just happy that I have practiced this maneuver often. :):)
I'm into delayed gratification before I luxuriate and sit down with my pot of coffee. Always take Maggie out for a walk first and, oh boy, does that coffee taste good when I get back.
