Saying Goodbye

I've always been taken with this statue in front of the Northern Arizona University Library but hadn't looked at it from this point of view. I was waiting for my son who was able to get an internet connection there while the chaos of packing was going on at home. The internet company misled us as to when we would be cut off so we had to scramble to find a spot for my son to continue with his on-line Trigonometry class.

The artwork on NAU's campus is rather interesting now I get to discover the artwork (both old and new- to me) on the campus of Oregon State University. It is a new chapter for us since we are returning to OSU and Corvallis after 25 years.
It's an unusual and intriguing statue. Hope your move is smooth and pleasant as it can be.

@marlboromaam I wouldn't mind having a similar work in my garden, at least the one that I hope to have. The good thing about Oregon is that things actually grow here. It is so green as compared to Arizona. I did see one yard so far that is xeri-scaped - stone instead of lawn.

College towns always have their own vibe. Are you moving for work?

Neat statue. I feel for you during your move. There are always a few unexpected glitches. It will be interesting to return to a place you know. Looking forward to photos from your new home.

@theredcamera We have both retired and now that the boys have completed their BA's were are moving back to the Pacific Northwest. Arizona is a most gorgeous state but we have realized that we want the northwest again.

@eudora Art work on campus's are so often so cool. I haven't made it back to Oregon State University campus yet but am looking forward to walking around before the students arrive next month.
