Re-establishing norms is a challenge but I am determined. Riley and I went for a good long walk around the area today. Walking each day helps with a time to let my thoughts wander as well as stepping away from the unpacking.
When I attended university here, many of the off-campus homes for students were in sad shape. It seems that still is in vogue. This is a metal garden shed attached to a house that has been divided into many different apartments for students.
I think non-university run student housing almost everywhere tends to be in a run down state. Even if it starts out being kind of okay, after a couple of batches of students have gone through it ends up being tattered and worn.

Thank you so very much. I like to see the potential in these run down places. Students can be dicey tenants for many a landlord.
That is the state of most of the homes in our area which are used for student housing as well. I guess the landlords feel they can get away with it since college students are notorious for trashing the apartments they rent. The processing works with the condition of the shed and almost has an eerie feel to it. Good catch!
Has a mysterious quality to it. It must be interesting to get reacquainted with a place where you lived before--but moving is a challenge no matter what!
