Miraculously he came unstuck once I'd fought my way through a hedge and got the treats out. Good news - we have been back along the footpath where we had the disaster with the cannons starting the rowing races. He did grind to a halt at one point but I ignored him and eventually he decided he would catch up with me. Lucky as it's a favourite walk.
PS Terrible news from Crufts - that's why I've never taken Monty ;0)
Fav, there he is again looking all regal, Crufts have missed out not having Monty in their ring. Terrible news about the poisoning, who would do such an awful thing?
Terrible news indeed....makes you wonder what some people think is an acceptable thing to do......how could anyone in their right mind poison a dog! Hope they have CCT cameras up around that area.
Monty has such a straight back.....he looks very alert & if he's waiting for you to catch up! He is a crafty boy......surprising what a treat does!
@lucypics@happypat He's sitting on top of a big log - should have got it in the photo but I had my zoom on and was in a hedge! I can't believe anybody would poison that beautiful dog - apparently there is resentment against the dogs coming from abroad.
I just remarked on Crufts on my posting as well as Monty! Loved seeing the English and the Welsh Springers. We once owned a Red Setter and have heard about the news. I do like Monty's colouring with that hint of russet in the eyebrows!
