As we walked across the paddocks/fields to the little Stone Cottage http://365project.org/julzmaioro/365/2018-10-26
I was taken with the colours of the landscape .. the vivid green of the pastures, the yellow of the gorse bushes, and the brown/purple of the scrub and then the blue of the hills and the sky ... made for a stunning landscape ... The conicle hills are a little unique to the Chathams..
Quite different shaped hills to the main land of NZ. Such a real island feel to this shot.....there must be massive changes of terrain & scenery on the Chatham Islands.
@happypat it is quite different.. just about all the island is peat.. alot on the tour were saying how much it was like the Yorkshire moors.. the horse is a bit if a problem as they can not burn it off because of the peat.. the are spraying it but going to take awhile to get on top of it..
