Magpie..

I HATE MAGPIE'S.... This one was sitting on our garden fence and I thought how scruffy he looked, but once I processed the photo I realize he is just a young one.. They can be really nasty birds and swoop down on you if they think you are getting too close.. have even heard them peeking eyes of any one getting too close..

He definitely looks formidable! We have Crows where I live, but as far as I know they never attacked a person. Scary!

@annied sorry you got that one on your own Annie.. @rustymonkey yep saw that to Karen.. @kathysview We don't have crows but have heard them in Australia when there and they make horrible noise.. The Magpie actually has quite a nice song..

@julzmaioro they can be dangerous ---------in breeding season -they are protecting their nests -------------quite territorial ------starlings and other birds do the same - I see walkers and bike riders with special hats and helmets ---------quite the sight hahaha

We have quite a few round here and have never had any problem with them but have heard stories of rogue ones that attack. I love their warbly song...they always sound cheerful. Love this photo Julz.:)
