I went to our neighbouring town of Pukekohe today .. and it is a major Market Growing area, with onion's being one of the main.. So it is a hive of industry in the paddocks at the moment.. They need a long spell of dry weather after they have lifted the onion's, after they a completely dry they are gathered up and bagged or put loose in crates and then taken to the shed before getting sorted and bagged again and packed in shipping containers and exported to your Supermarkets .. In this photo you can see the patch work of the fields.. the bright yellow on the top right hand paddock is mustard which is used as a green crop..
I think it has it all - colours, lines, textures, story, landscape, symmetry, repetition, patterns, layers.... The longer you look, the more you discover. Great shot in my eyes!
