Amanita muscaria or "Fly Agaric". As the immature fungus emerges there is a veil connecting the stem to the outer edge of the cap. You have probably noticed how some fungi look like little knobs as they break through the ground. Growth causes the veil to break and hence the ring that looks like a skirt - or gorgeous gussies. Poisonous to humans but small animals and invertebrates love them. Here endeth the botany lecture. Great shot.
