Upper Manorburn Dam..

While travelling the South Island (NZ) we had heard of a lake that was often frozen.. it was frozen something that is unheard of up our way where we get excited when we see a frozen puddle.. still not frozen enough to skate on ..

I get excited when the hens' water is frozen - I can't ever remember seeing a whole lake frozen, not even in the UK. Love the colours in this shot.
