Fireside

When I saw this set up at the Museum yesterday it reminded me of life before TV.. as a kid we use to play games like scrabble, chess, snakes and Ladders and tiddly winks in front of the fire and perhaps even having a quicksie (toasted sandwich) cooked on the fire... simple life.

Wonderful capture, I still have Three Fireplaces similar to this, one is Seven Feet High and at Christmas we still light it, and yes we roast nuts, wrap Potato's in foil, toast bread, and we have also cooked a Stew on it...Fav
