This is a Native tree/ shrub of New Zealand quite different to our other Native tree's .. It is semi deciduous and has blossom's in the spring. It's botanical name is Sophora Microphylla it is a legume and after flowering has a pea like seed pod. The Tui's love the flowers and are seen in large numbers amongst the branches.. This tree could not of been found by the birds yet as the flowers were untouched..
