Part way around our Tiki Tour today we came across a real little Oasis.. This is the Nikau Café which is really in the back of beyond.. This is the spot that I met up with @happypat a couple of years ago and hopefully will meet again here sometime.. it is a real popular place for Motorcycle Clubs and Car Clubs to come on there weekend outings.. and the coffee and food is pretty good as well.. Wasn't a busy day today so Philip the owner spotted a fellow farmer and sat with us and talked weather and farming and fertilizer.. His wife had to keep reminding him of other customers.. Great atmosphere..
Great shot - George would have been in his element, talking farming and exploring farming territory. Pretty good lineup of bikes. There were vintage bikes heading through Waiuku yesterday and looked like they were going up the peninsula.
I think I remember where this is from that previous posting with @happypat. On the way out to Raglan or Kawhia? Neat photo of the bikes as well as the background.
Trust these farmers! Philip is a lovely guy isn't he.....he used to sheer Anthony's sheep. Lucky you, I can't wait to go back, sit in the sun on that deck & eat their fantastic pizza! Ant & Jo haven't been for ages, too busy & living further away now. Will definitely meet up this time when we come over!
