After the Zoo we went to the Hamilton Gardens.. these are fantastic public gardens and have this New Zealand corner made like a Maori village.. this is the Kumara patch ( sweet potatoes) and the storage house.. very well maintained ready for a late summer harvest..
I don't remember seeing this bit when we went a few years ago. They were doing extensive alterations so will be worth another visit. It was a very tense day as we were minding so ones little girl while mum was in hospital after a miscarriage.
