Apotheke

I have a splinter (same word in German) under my fingernail. I had to learn how to ask for things like "wasserstuffperoxid" (hydrogen peroxide), "bittersalz" (epsom salt) but ultimately, I had to buy this tarry stuff called "ichtholan." They said the tube would last me a life time. But I hope I never have to find out if it really does.

The cash register is from Ohio . . . and I have no idea what that thing hanging down in the back is but I don't think I want to know.
MariAnne and I are looking at your photo -- what happened? When can you look to see if it's worked itself out? We like your photo, but sad that you're dealing with this!

Fantastic capture of this interesting old style pharmacy. Hope the splint has come out by now.

I love the clarity on the Ohioan cash register. Hope the splinter doesn't cause too much discomfort. The pattern created by all the bottles is great!

Sorry the splinter still isn't sorted. Love that apothecary though

This is an interesting shot, love the cash register and that beautiful cabinet in the background with the glass jars.

European apothecaries are so different to anything in the states, so calm and focused. Lovely shot.

The thing at the back, could it be a type of swordfish blade. I think I have seen pictures of a fish with this kind of sword.

@angelikavr -- but why would it be hanging in the Apotheke? You are so sweet to look at so many of my photos from so long ago!
