Processing Practice

Like @Taffy and @vankrey, I have been preparing for the Picture Japan reunion this weekend. @jgerber suggested I try this one out in black and white. At Carl's suggestion, I lightened the whites in the school children's uniforms so they would stand out. Photo taken at Nijo-jo in Kyoto, originally built in 1626. I had been there so many times I found my own photos cliched -- but this one was a first capture.
Awesome picture and perspective. Love the way black and white brings out the patterns and textures.

This is great -- I remember the kids but not that you caught them. Very cool capture of all the patterns in the structures as well. I like the b&w.
