Karst with early morning boats on river

We arrived in Yangshuo late at night, were picked up at 4:45 am for an early morning mountain hike, and had a beautiful view of the mountains. We took a hundred photos with varying degrees of light. I chose this one because it reminds me of the "sumi-e" style of using the charcoal and water landscape paintings. See those boats crossing the river below? Two days later, we were down there, photographing a fisherman.

@darylo -- Taffy and I found airfares for $494 RT so we decided to go for it, and China is less expensive than many countries so we were able to hire a photo guide.

@jerome -- I have been thinking of you and your love of mountains while processing my photos lately since we have taken so many mountain photos while in Guilin area. Glad to know you've been there. We are now wanting to go to the "Hallelujah" mountains -- have you been there?
