Today's opening day of Trout Fishing season in Rhode Island, so I decided to visit Olney Pond in Lincoln Woods for today's photo. Despite temperatures hovering just above freezing, there were a surprising number of anglers in boats, kayaks, and along the shore. Today's Providence Journal claims that the number of anglers in Rhode Island is on a steady decline, however you would never know it based on the number of people braving the cold this morning.
Today's photo shows a family along the shore of Olney Pond, with this pair trying to untangle a line. They had about a half dozen rods in use, so it's no wonder a couple of lines got crossed.
Post processing started with a Platinum V filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, boost black, boost white, and contrast. A levels adjustment and sepia photo filter were added in PSE.
