I stopped at Bold Point Park on my way home from work today. The Brown Crew was on the river, and I thought I'd get an interesting photo of them rowing past the park, but unfortunately they all stayed on the wrong side of the Washington Bridge. Looking around for something interesting to photograph, I spotted these American Black Ducks lazily lounging on the side of the docks. I figure, if all they're going to do is sit there, then the least they can do is pose for a photo. As you can see, they didn't argue the point.

Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, and boost white. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.

Seems they were quite content with having their photos taken! Such a wonderful photo of these peaceful looking ducks, must be a great life being a relaxing little duck!
