Simplicity

I was looking for a very simple uncluttered subject for today's photo, and then remembered this post that stands just off-shore at Haines Point. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to learn that the tide was extremely high today. The float in the lower right is normally on dry land, but with the very high tide, it was floating peacefully a few feet from shore. It's not the type of scene I normally compose, and I suspect that's what drew me to it, today.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, and boost white. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
