I work about 2 blocks from the Chicago financial district. At lunch time today I took a walk around the block and saw some buildings that I've learned about through Geoffrey Baer's tours of Chicago that have been shown on public television. This is the Federal Reserve Bank. One of the special things about it is that the tops of the columns are very ornate. This picture doesn't really show how massive the columns are! (Taken from the southwest corner of Jackson and LaSalle; the Fed is on the northeast corner.) I love Chicago!
Edited to add: The Fed is on the northwest corner, and I was on the southeast corner.
September 2015 - I dropped my Nikon L22 at the arboretum (on asphalt!) and it's definitely broken. :(
October 2014- finally reached 365 photographs and it...
