Staircase in the Rookery Building, Chicago

Burnham and Root, 1885; lobby re-worked by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1905; extensive restoration in 1988 going back to the original Wright and Burnham and Root designs. The lobby is open to the public and is a stop on architectural walking tours. It's right around the corner from where I work.
