It's blooming!

I am not sure what kind of plant this is-- but it is in front of my building (obviously!) and it's flowering. You can see how dry the grass is because we've hand so little rain. There is another one of these in front of a business just down the street. And lilies to the right.

Yucca plant. They are very hard to kill.

The lillies are Day Lillies and come in a variety of colours. They do well in my garden. I have one that is almost black in colour and will post it when it flowers at the end of Spring. The Yucca is drought tolerant. A lovely spot to sit.

The yucca look wonderful when they have those white flowers but to try and get rid of them, is just impossible.
