Dad's orchids, again

This is just another shot of my dad's orchid. Same problem with the dark background (please see March 3). I like orchids because of the colors and shapes of the flowers, plus they make me think of beautiful places where orchids grow.

You can get a nice black background if you play and try with Picasa`s
retouch (for the stems ) and shadows

Besides being beautiful orchid flowers last for such a long time. I always give an orchid rather than a bunch of flowers for that reason.
