Care Phalaenopsis
Light: On a bright place, but not in direct sunlight.
Temperature : Phalaenopsis likes the warm temperature. The minimum temperature is 15 ºC. Due to a cold temperature and too much water, the buds may fall and deteriorate roots.
Water: An orchid should not be too wet. As a rule, is in the first irrigation cycle 7 to 9 days is sufficient. Again only watering when the soil is almost dry.
Watering buttons: In the winter and summer months humidity levels are low in the home. Daily watering the smallest knobs prevents it from drying out and not come to fruition.
Fertilizing: 1 x per 2 weeks special fertilizer for orchids (20-20-20). Mix a teaspoon to 1 liter of water. 3 to 4 times per year, a level teaspoon of lime over the potting material spreading. From November / m January, the orchid must not allow manure.
Floor: 1x a 3 to 4 years to repot the orchid in the right soil is very important. The Orchid Farm has for the Phalaenopsis compiled an airy mixture of bark, sphagnum and peat.
After flowering: In order for the plant blooming, cut the flower stalk above the 3rd eye, shortly after the stem running again. New branches are among the axils of the leaves, it takes 8 to 12 months.
Repot tip: Place the orchid in a slightly larger pot when the roots are healthy. If the roots are soft / rotted, it is advisable to remove this soft / rotten parts and orchid again put in the same pot.
