Roadside flowers

There’s an alley behind the building where I work, and a stream that runs beside the alley. I look at these colorful flowers when I use the alley exit from our parking lot. I’m not sure what they are- I just like the color.
What a great color!

Rosebay Willowherb is what we know them as. When the lovely colour dies you get LOTS of 'fairies' that fly around the area scattering the seeds for next year. Not something you want in your garden though.
Interesting to read on Wikipedia...so much more info than I knew!!

It rapidly colonizes burnt ground; during the bombing of London in World War II many of the derelict bomb sites were soon covered with these plants, bringing a splash of colour to what was otherwise a very grim scene.
