Pumpkin Flower

Much to my surprise I found a flower on the pumpkin seedling today. I planted these with my grandson, from seeds kept from last year's Halloween pumpkin. We planted the seeds indoors in mid-March, and put them outside a few weeks later. I think that was WAY too early, and of the 10 seedlings we planted outside only two are still alive. Farmers we are not :)
