Missing House

The last time I looked there was a house standing here

Is that house in your street? I noticed an empty block on Tuesday which used to have a house on it.

@jools - yep, in my street. The house was there when I went to work and completely gone when I came back!

Wow that's quick! When our neighbours house was demolished they started before we were even out of bed and took about 3 days to finish the job.

@kjarn So it wasn't you! I have seen modular houses go up in a day, but not removed.

Perhaps they stuck it on the back of a truck and moved it away? :) They did that to a house up the hill from us in a day, carted away in 2-sections. Demolitions take a fair bit of time due to having to be careful to save anything that is salvageable for resale and asbestos precautions.

@brizmako - there were a couple of diggers parked in the street when I left for work at 6.30am and my neighbour, who doesn't work, took photos and video of it being smashed up and removed. How they did it in one day I just don't know.
