You amaze me with how many books you read each month! The second book would have taken me 6 months alone! I’m such a slow reader, I fall asleep after a few pages!

@jb030958 I don't cook, I don't clean, I haven't been working, I don't exercise, I don't socialise much and I live alone so reading it is 😂

I do envy your solid amount of reading time. Must make a mental note to check out Kathy's Book Club suggestions at the end of each month ;)

I few more books to look out for, thanks! And fyi, if you enjoy British village mysteries and a precocious protagonist, I've been greatly enjoying the Flavia de Luce series by Alan Bradley. Really well written and very fun reads!

I loved the girl with all the gifts (what ever you do, don't watch the movie...appalling). The boy on the bridge is a great read as well. I'v just finished MR Carey's The Book of Koli as well, just as good.

@graemestevens it really doesn't surprise me that you liked those books, The Girl with the Gifts really did nothing for me and don't worry I wouldn't watch the movie, the book conjured up enough vile images for me

I like seeing the books you have been reading. So often they are new to me. How's your wrist doing now?

@casablanca it’s coming along slowly. I’m back at work two days a week and doing my physio, hoping this will be the last operation. Thank you for asking.

@kjarn I'll hope with you! Slow and steady and hopefully effective. All the best.

All in a month, wow. I love reading but generally read obsessively for a period of time then read nothing for a longer period of time. Will chexk out your list and suggestions when I get the urge to read again.

very good, I also like reading very much, I remember that when I was working sometimes I was up late at night to read and finish the book, now I'm retired and I can read when and how much I want

Quite a varied selection of books. The only one of these authors I've read is Harlan Coben, and he and I didn't get on too well.
