I think you can get away with it every once in a while but if you're constantly shooting into the sun you'll ruin your camera's sensor. Nice sun flare!

Nice shot and sunflare. A friend of mine burnt out the sensor on his camera when taking photos into the sun. You should be okay if you are quick though.

@onewing I got a bit worried reading everyone’s comments so I asked Mr Google and he said sun can damage sensors if you take long exposure shots or frequent shots. This was one shot and it took only a few seconds

@kjarn It is probably similar to taking photos in the supermarket, sometimes you have to live dangerously but probably not best to do it too often because one day you are going to get caught. ha ha

It works for “bright” that’s for sure. I didn’t know it could damage the camera I only was thinking about your eyes!
