High and wet

In 24 hours we have had over 200mm of rain! Even though Clinger is obviously soaking wet, you can still see that the rain doesn't really make it right through their thick coats to the skin. Lucky, it would be far too cold in the deluge we had for a koala with the low calorie intake they get from the Eucalyptus leaves!

That is a lot of rain, lucky their fur is relatively water resistant :)

Lovely capture - Clinger's soggy fur reminds me of my girls' feathers when they've just had a bath too!

@gilbertwood they sleep through most things :)
@vera365 sadly they do occasionally fall out of trees, usually younger ones, and if not found they can die. We do get them in care at times suspecting they simply fell out :( But one would say they mostly stay clinging on
