Slow drying by koalagardens

Slow drying

The rain is just starting again but we've had a few hours break thankfully after the mad deluge and this koala is new to the property, must have come here hoping for better shelter in the past 2 days of wet.

He is still wet but is certainly drying out more than Clinger was looking yesterday. He is very close to the main trunk and maybe was just a little better sheltered.
I can't stand how cute they are!

@dianen I know right Diane, I feel the same every time I am out there spotting and capturing them on film.
Today there are 4 on the property drying out, it's hard to choose which one to feature here! :)

Stay up there in the sunshine, koala so your fur will dry. Good for you for finding your way to the garden, too.

@kchuk thanks Elyse, there is some sunshine now so they should all dry out a bit with luck!

Great shot, so nice to see him drying out. That fur must soak up the wet??? and take ages to dry out?? Do hope he stays.

Should have started with the earlier shots & wouldn't have asked these Q.s!

@happysnaps lol all good, you learned some things anyway! Yep, the fur actually repels the water at least from the skin. They do all look quite dry this evening as I've just returned from my koala spotting rounds :)

Hope he stays :) beautiful capture :)

that's a very cute one. Ours is still spending his/her days in our trees and every night crosses from one to the other to the excitement of our dog looking through the window.

@365projectorgchristinewebb @gilbertwood thanks for the comments :)
@cruiser I'm trying to link every lot of trees up so they can cross limb to limb and avoid the most dangerous thing for a koala - getting down on the ground!
@ceilidh thanks for the comment
@milaniet I'm so glad you are enjoying these photos, really appreciate this
@alia_801 thank you. it can be so hard to get a clear view through all the leaves of the trees!
