@sugarmuser thanks Sharon, I'm safe as my property is high on a hill, but I'm very close to Lismore so it's very distressing to know how bad it is in there and getting worse by the hour 😞
Wow- it seems like we were just worried about a drought. I'm glad to hear your property is elevated and not prone to the flooding. I hope your neighbors in Lismore will make it through this storm without too much loss. Looks like Bullet is willing to lend a paw if they need it. Good shot.
Good morning, Katrina is currently without power, surrounded by flood water and has been for s few days. Her spirits are up, and she says she's not as badly off as others in the state ( even though the food in the fridge has gone off!)
Her mum asked me to let you know and not to worry that she's not uploading at present,
Just had a WhatsApp from K, no power for another day, she's conserving phone power and her spirits raised when she got a message to say "they" know she's isolated and are working on reconnecting power in next two days! I cannot imagine how she's doing as I'm sure she's frantic for her koalas!!!
Hello all, anotheer update on Katrina. She has been taken into hospital to have a kidney stone removed (as if she hasn't had enough to worry about. Her mum( @happysnaps ) has asked me to let you know and not to worry that she's not uploading at present,
Hello all. A message from Katrina............. she is now on a general ward, has managed to get some sleep and hopes to be discharged home tomorrow. She's raring to get back to her camera and to reading all her messages here on 365 and on FaceAche.
She's very grateful to Nada and sue @njmom3 and @wakelys for sorting her current challenges
Hopefully the next update will be from Katrina herslf and then her mum @happysnaps can relax too xxx

Katrina- I hope when you can see this again you'll see how many people were pulling for you and the koala kids! You're in all our thoughts and prayers.
Just dropped in to check up on you Katrina and to make sure you were not affected by the floods in Lismore and was pleased to see that you was high and dry. Then saw Jackie's posting your operation. Hope that you are recovered and home soon. I'll bet the koalas are missing you.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thank you for the updates. So sorry to hear about her kidney stone on top of everything else! I've had a few and they are nasty, hopefully her's has passed without too much discomfort. Hope that the flood waters are receding and she's getting her power restored soon, if not already.

Katrina - I am so sorry to hear about what you have been through. To be isolated while your town floods so terribly must have been heart breaking enough, but to then have to be hospitalized is just ghastly. I hope you are on the road to recovery.
Poor Lismore has shown such amazing community spirit to save so many lives. Hopefully the Gov will be shamed into actually looking for a way to prevent it happening again......
Fingers crossed that the koalas are all OK. :)
Katrina should now be home, when I whtasapped her on Friday she was packing her bags to leave hospital. I know she is going to be touched by your messages, and probably a bit emotinoal, what with all the cr*p that has happened around her ill health.
She will be back here soon, updating us about her koalas, her property after the flooding and her health (in that order I'm sure!)
And welcome home Katrina! I know how you feel- it will one year since my Covid bout in a few weeks and I still remember wanting nothing more than to go home while I recuperating after my 9 day induced coma while I was on the ventilator. I'm glad you're on your way to full health!
