What a wild ride! I can't thank you all enough for the hundreds and hundreds of messages of support over the past 2 weeks.
Exactly one week ago today, I suddenly developed some serious pain, fever and the associated screaming down the porcelain telephone as we say here.
Too long without enough water, I was always managing to get some water, but just not enough.
The short story is I ended with septicemia due to a kidney blockage and spent a week in hospital getting this sorted and have a stent draining my kidney and will be back to have surgery to solve the blockage property in a month or so.
I am so grateful that people just quickly picked up challenges I should have been running.
I could feel the support as messages came to me through 2 members here, so thank you for being the most awesome community in the world.
a huge thank you to @happysnaps (my mum) for making sure I spoke to her on the phone twice every day despite having problems charging it and getting a connection - that kept me grounded in a way I can't explain
another huge thank you to @30pics4jackiesdiamond for helping post updates here and ensuring challenges I was running or winning were taken over so I didn't even need to think (let alone didn't know about one of them 😂 )
I am so sorry to hear that - I had wondered, as your usually so regular with posting. I am pleased to hear you're feeling better and hope everything goes well with the upcoming procedure!
A big sigh. so sorry I wasn't aware of what happened to you. so glad you're ok. I'm taking it easier these days. going on 87 this month and been on 365 since January 2010.
I am so pleased and so is Bullet pleased to see you home again - what scary time you must have had - I am glad you are home and feeling better and hope everything will go well for you with the forthcoming procedure . All the best !
Oh my goodness I’m so glad you are home and feeling better, drinking water is such a big deal. Thank goodness you are feeling better. So glad your mother kept us updated while you were in the hospital!
I’m so glad to see you back. When your mother said kidney stones I was afraid it was because of your lack of water. I am so sorry you have had all those compounding problems. Welcome back.
So good to see you back. What a time you have had. Fingers crossed they can finally fix you again soon. Thanks to your mum for keeping us all informed. She did a great job
Great capture. Had been wondering were you had gotten off too. Was afraid it was weather related. Sorry to hear about your condition. Hopefully it will get better real soon and you'll be right back out there with all of the koala's.
That sounds absolutely painful and distressing. Glad you are feeling better and they get it taken care of very soon so it doesn't happen to you again...take care!
Welcome back with this wonderful shot of a happy Bullet! I am sure you were not only missed by us, but by the Koalas too. Look after yourself, wishing you all the best and positive healing thoughts xx
great shot of Bullet I have missed seeing the koalas but more so you I am so glad that you are home, don't try to do too much, take it easy, I will continue to pray for you
Katrina -
So glad that everything has turned out okay for you and that you are back in business!
This is such a cute photo.
I noticed that quite a few of the previous photos that you submitted for the Non-domestic animal challenge were taken before the challenge started so you might consider taking that tag off of them but you have a whole bunch of new shots of koalas that you can put in instead (like this one!!)
