never miss an opportunity by koalagardens

never miss an opportunity

to stop for a scratch ... Literally hanging by his arms, Hugo stopped for a full 20 seconds to scratch first his left, then his right leg. Doesn't sound long but my arms would have given out after 5 seconds I'm sure!
I had to create this from a still frame of video, then a bit of post processing, so it's not technically great, but content-wise is priceless
Amazing Hugo!

I probablyu know your answer, but wonder if you ever try to interact with them. I'd have a difficult time trying to resist scratching his back for him (which would be much to myu own pleasure as well!!!)

Great timing on this.

Great timing and capture.

@Weezilou I am about 30 metres away from this tree. if I approached closely, he would have gone right up the tree. Being able to scratch the back of a koala in the wild would likely mean it was gravely ill and needing urgent hospitalisation. not sure if that was the answer you knew you would get? 🙃

That is an extraordinary image. They stretch as well as they curl up into impossible positions.

I agree with everyone- this is wonderful! He is showing us his flexibility and strength! I see his red ear tag, too- I am glad he is back where you can keep an eye on him.
