Is it a magic mushroom? :-)

What a beautiful mushroom photo. I love the glistening leaves too. As it turned out, I was overwatering my new grass, the little grey mushrooms were everywhere!

Fungi certainly come in a wonderful variety of shapes and textures.
You mention damp winter mornings, can I ask what kind of temperature range you experience during this period?

What a great find!

@gardencat it's been much colder this July than for some years! Over the weekend the temperature lows hit 3 degree Celsius here. The last years I don't think we went below 7 or 8.
It never frosts on this property because of the elevation, but the land I look down over frosts, so that means they drop below 0.

@koalagardens thanks for the response. So you can get cold and damp but, at least without frost, you avoid a lot of problems like worrying about frozen pipes or the ground heaving.

That would make a great Wwyd someday. I like mushrooms too. Many are so tasty and most are fascinating to watch.
July 6th, 2020
Oh gorgeous, I love the blue tones on this and the almost glazed look on the mushroom.

Cool capture.

there's a window! a fairy must live there. not a lot of fungi around where i live, if there are, the dogs would've destroyed them when they're let lose by their owners.
