The creepy clown from Stephen King's book, It, was called Pennywise the Dancing Clown... "It" preyed upon the children of Derry, Maine. Very scary character and book... this is a good time to read it and be scared... be very scared.
Superb book. Superb TV mini-series with Tim Curry playing Pennywise and the more recent films with Bill Skarsgård playing Pennywise was most excellent also.
