On the Corner of Dallas Highway and Mars Hill Road
The Lost Mountain Store in Powder Springs, Georgia was built in 1881 in Cobb County, Georgia. Back then people came to the store via horse and buggy to trade and get supplies at the general store. The building was restored in 1996 and is now a bank. You can read more about it here: https://www.ajc.com/news/local/old-general-store-now-home-bank/RStPuqz1aQNE2BLQyvKVVK/
@marlboromaam thanks Maggie... I had to really work this scene because this building is at a super busy intersection in a parking lot with a grocery store and lots of other little stores... I saw this tree and it helped me frame the shot.
@dutchothotmailcom@milaniet@jgpittenger@kgolab@joysabin@sdutoit@ludwigsdiana@aikiuser Thanks so much for your comments and favs... this is such a cool old building... at present only the drive through is open... needless to say that was added behind the existing building. Once it reopens I do want to go inside... I can’t remember if I went inside back in the early 80’s but I think I did... this was when the main road that is now 6 lanes was only 2 lanes.... a lot can change in 40 years.
