I started the session taking shots of my new boots ( http://365project.org/kwind/extra-shots/2014-01-14) and ended up doing selfies! I used to always wear contacts but my eyes were drying out so I've switched back to my glasses. I wasn't sure if I really liked them but this shot makes me think I do.
OH....I should have posted my selfie with my new glasses..butt then it was no where are awesome as yours!!! You look gorgeous!!! And what a great capture....I should hire you to do my "selfe"..hahahaha!
Great selfie and your glasses are cool! I wish I could wear that style but my eyes need bigger lenses to accommodate needing progressive trifocals. :)
How do you focus to get such a sharp selfie?
I took my wife out to dinner this week when two women were seated behind my wife. At first I didn't really pay any attention to them but then I noticed the one woman looked a little familiar. It then came to me that she looked like she could have been you or your sister. I thought about trying to take her picture with my cellphone, but thought that would be hard to explain to my wife :)
I love the new selfie!
@tctime I used auto focus for this shot. The camera was on a tripod and I was sitting on the floor with my back against a tan/grey wall. I used the remote clicker thing. Sometimes I use spot focusing but it can be challenging getting the right thing in focus!
Nice! I really like that look in glasses :-) Your prescription can't be NEARLY as bad as mine, your eyes hardly look distorted at all!LOL (which is nice, because you have gorgeous eyes.)
I love your glasses ...I am definitely going to do a selfie when my new glasses arrive...you look stunning...keep the lens for a special occasion for evening only.
I worked in an Eye Doctor office years and helped so many people pick out their glasses. These are wonderful frames for you. They look lovely!
Nice selfie too!
you look good in glasses! Great selfie- want to pass on some tips as Im hoping take a few myself this year. I will say, as the daughter, sister and niece of an optometrist, (I have a family full of them) there is always a way for contacts. It might be as simple as a solution change. I had a similar problem and my dad fitted me in a different brand and its worked wonderfully!
@katiebrenkert Here's my selfie tips...tripod, remote timer, plain wall, window light and burst mode. I probably took 120 shots with various expressions. Do it alone (or with small children) because you'll feel like an idiot smiling every which way at nothing but a camera... Ha ha! Thanks for the contact info. I use Acuvue Moist dailies and I can wear them but my eyes get tired and dry after a few hours. Apparently I have some condition (I can't remember the name) that is like having callouses on the skin under my eyes. The eye doctor suggested I take a break for a while (I've been wearing them almost exclusively for 20 years) and it's definitely helped.

I love the new selfie!
It's still you right? lol
Nice selfie too!
