I'm home late tonight after a very fast and furious adventure with my mom and sister. I left my house at 6:15am yesterday and travelled to Vancouver where I did a maternity photo shoot in Coquitlam. As soon as that was done my mom and I picked up my sister in White Rock and headed for the border! We were in Mount Vernon, Washington by 2:45pm. On our way to 'Tulip Town' we passed a field with a helicopter offering rides so I did a U turn and up we went! Fifteen minutes over the various fields and only $60 each. The weather was perfect and the colours vivid! We slept over in a hotel, saw a few more tulips this morning and then wandered through the quaint town of La Conner before making the trek north. I'm totally behind on my commenting but will get caught up tomorrow.
How lucky to be able to grab a helicopter flight over the tulip fields! The colors here are outstanding! Everything is more filled in than it was 3 days ago. Glad you got there on a perfect day. Fav!
@summerfield I know we asked one time but I don't remember what it was. If I'm able to meet up with you and Maggie on the first week of June, could be a fun thing for us to do!
@olivetreeann - i think it's cheaper than niagara falls from 3 years ago - $150 US for 10 minutes! :-) wonder how much it is now.
