My daughter's prom was yesterday! It was an ALL day event. Her friends came over for photos, then they went downtown to mingle in a park for more photos, then we all met up for "An evening in Paris" themed prom which included delicious food and dancing. Then "dry" grad went from midnight to 6am! My husband and I helped with the all night event and didn't get home until 4am. I've gone through all my photos and now I'm going for a nap!!
That's so lovely! When I left school there was nothing at all to mark it except intensive exams. So nice to have such a lovely day - even if it exhausts your parents!
Your balloon photos of this wonderful event are so unusual, I love them. A day your daughter & her friends will treasure forever & so nice to be part of it all. No parents are allowed at prom dances in the UK as far as I'm aware & it's only a meal & dance in the evening.
Just found this - that wonderful dress you showed us on a hanger. Sounds like a wonderful time , full of memories and she will be delighted to look back on these pictures.
Reminds me of our annual summer balls during our RAF days, they always ended with breakfast at 6 am and then we used to come home to sleep it all off.
