I decided to fly home today so I could see my 18 year old daughter whose been home alone since Sunday. She was feeling very nervous about a life guarding class she has to do tomorrow so I thought a visit from mom would be appreciated. I also did laundry, repacked, paid bills and sorted through a week's worth of mail. I'm all ready to head back to Vancouver and the hospital tomorrow on the 11am flight. Gage is doing better but still not well enough to come home. He's eating and drinking much more but still spending too much time on the toilet.
It's tough to try and spread yourself out with the kids ... but I am sure your daughter appreciates your brief visit... Hope things continue to progress... lovely colourful heart..
Wishing your daughter well for her life guarding class. I'm sure she was delighted to see you too. Glad to hear Gage is improving, just not there yet. Continuing to root for him and for you. Lovely heart. I remember your graffiti series from that castle - delightful.
“A mother’s work is never done”. So glad you could spend time with your sweet girl, hope her class goes really well! Don’t forget to take care of yourself too. This heart is unique and has a wonderful messsge for all of us.
Great find. It must be tough for all you having Gage in hospital so far from home. I hope he will be able to go home soon. And that all went well with your daughter's class.
Must be a very difficult time you are going through , and it sounds like you are handling it superbly . As others have said make sure you look after yourself too.
A great heart find. I am so impressed that you even remembered it let alone managed to find and post in amidst all that is going on in your family. Lovely to be updated though - as thoughts continue to be with you. Hard for the siblings. Hope the class went well.
Your life is so busy just now but juggling well with all your tasks. Bobbing backwards & forwards but doing so well, I take my hat off to you! Love your heart Kim, keep your strength up as you have to keep well too!
It's difficult being the parent of a chronically ill child. It's also difficult being the sibling of a chronically ill child. Hopefully both children will recognize they are loved and you will know that you have done all you can.
Hope that you are feeling all the love and good wishes being sent to you and your family - and as so many said, remember to take care of you, too. Love the heart you posted - especially apt this February.
Thinking of you and your family.
Hoping your son's health continues to improve so you can all be at home together.
Hope your son continues to get better 💛
