Another amazing place we visited in Sintra was a mansion built by a Portuguese millionaire called Quinta da Regaleira. We toured the inside of the building but my favourite part was its extensive grounds and gardens. This well was fascinating and amazing! In the well there is a concealed passage that after descending 27 meters connects to a series of tunnels that run the length of the gardens. Yesterday I felt like I was in a fairy tale and on this day I felt like I was in an Indiana Jones movies as we wandered through tunnels and down this well with it's dripping ceiling. Like I said yesterday, if you're ever in Lisbon you MUST got to Sintra!
What a great perspective to create a leading line to the opening...nice sense of scale with the people on the balcony, and neat stonework details and textures...It truly is an amazing place.
Nicely organised to get such good focus while staring upwards! Glad to see this - didn't get to it when we were there. We found everything shut down on Sundays though!
What a fabulous place to visit. I love the pov. Sounds as though the holiday was just what you both needed after all the trials and tribulations of the last few months. So glad you were able to get away.
What a great pov - and fascinating to read about. Sounds like this has been a fabulous trip. Like the way you were able to capture that interesting rockwork.
