The bell tower in the massive Seville Cathedral is called the Giralda. We walked to the top - first time ever there were NO stairs. Just an angled ramp like floor that went around and around the structure. Every so often there were openings with incredible view of the beautiful old town below. This is one such view!
@brigette We had a single day to explore and hit all the main attractions in this order: Metropol Parasol in the Plaza da la Encarnacion, wandered the beautiful streets to the Seville Cathedral and climbed to the top of the bell tower (this photo). Then walked to the Plaza de Espana - it's huge and beautiful. Our last attraction was the Alcazar of Seville. Get tickets on line before hand. The day/time we went it was free but we still needed a ticket to get in. After we walked over the Puente de Isabel II bridge and explored the Triana area a bit (our hotel was over there). Just wander around and explore there's lots to see! Here's my FB album from Seville: https://www.facebook.com/kim.windle.9/media_set?set=a.10155303432006150.1073742313.548771149&type=3
@brigette Not sure if you'll have a car but we did a day trip to Gilbraltar. It was super cool and I highly recommend. 2.5 hour drive one way from Seville.
@kwind hi! thanks for the ideas and links. I won't have a car.. just my feet and public transport. I plan to do some day trips from Seville - def to Cordoba and maybe to Jerez or Cadiz
I also have 2 days in Malaga and 3 in Granada.
@brigette Not sure, We were only there the one day and it was a Monday. I read that the lines could be long so I went on line to book and it was free - cost 1 euro for the tickets for both of us. I think it's an evening thing. Not sure if it's only Monday nights or every night. Our ticket was for 6pm.

I might book for an early arvo. I read that this is when the light is perfect there
