While staying in Seville, we took a day trip to the Rock of Gilbraltar 2.5 hours away. It was an amazing day! We started by walking across the world's only active airplane runway border. It was rather surreal waiting for the plane in this photo to take off. Fifteen seconds after the plane left the ground the light turned green and the arm on the divider went up. The cars started driving and the people starting walking and just a couple of minutes later we were in a different country!
Oh, that brings me back! Are there still lots of monkeys on the rock? I went there with my hubby way before we even thought of getting married! Over 30 years ago I guess. Fun shot of the crossing!
Awesome and amezing. Gret shot.
(As we like to drive trough the country side we find those fields.A pitty not to take a pic. of them as they are rare. Believe me.)
My good friend and one time neighbour, when we lived in the UK (Jane) was born in Gibraltar. Since leaving the RAF she and her husband now live in Spain.
