I've just spent the last 2.5 hours doing a 1000 piece puzzle with my family. OMG... what a crazy pastime! My mom does them all the time. I lost interest after about 30 minutes! To complicate things the box doesn't even show us what we're creating. Lots of laughs though! My niece has my mom's gift. I do not! I had to step away.
Mrs. S does jigsaw puzzles on occasion - personally I don't understand the attraction but when she breaks them out it gives me an excellent opportunity to annoy her. To the brink of insanity.
I enjoy doing puzzles again with the grand boys. 300 pieces is the biggest we have tackled but the boys were age 4 and 6! I cannot imagine doing one without a photo of what to create!
It is about that time of year, being on the storm path from Aberdeen to Tacoma, we will get cabin fever and pull one out soon. @graemestevens It is more fun to walk by the puzzle, stop, pick up one piece and place it where it belongs and walk away, especially after Mrs. B has been trying to find something to match for a half-hour or more.
No picture. That is terrible. It is amazing you made so much progress on it. They do take a lot of patience with a picture. I can't imagine not having the picture.
you should have a puzzle made from one of the photos (maybe a family photo) and gift it to your mom. If you didn't include a picture it would really be a surprise . Maybe you've already done this?
The one your doing looks very colourful.
