Diary shot... I can't give blood (I'm type 1 diabetic) so I do my part for the cause by volunteering at the local blood donor clinic that happens every 3 months in my city. I put in a 2.5 hour shift tonight. It was SUPER busy which is great to see. I was in charge of giving juice and snacks to the donors after their blood was collected.
Oh what a great idea! I can't give blood either - shame as it is a rare type, but my BP is so normally low that I keel over if I try and give blood. You will be a popular lady giving out the snacks!
One thing I regret I haven't done in my life is that I have never donated blood. No reason or excuses for that; it was just that I didn't bother to. People who donate blodd regularly are today's unsung heroes.
Good for you. You make me feel a bit guilty. I don't donate due to illness in the past that makes it unacceptable. I also don't volunteer. Actually, anymore, they send out mobile collection groups from a city about 60 miles from here.
I did nearly al my life. Even when it got commercial. (and I`ve to give it for free . Not the manager. He earns so much that politics has to correct it ) Now I`m to old.
What a nice thing to volunteer to do. I can't give blood either because I tend to be anemic, but I've had to have it given to me before. I'm thankful there are people out there who care enough to make it possible for those of us who need it.
