Ringo Starr replaced Pete Best in the Beatles, Marilyn Monroe died, Nelson Mandela began his 27 years of imprisonment, and my family went on a picnic. My uncle took this photo with his new colour camera, and this print is quite possibly the first colour photo of myself that I had seen (I'm in the red and white striped shirt, I was 4 years old). I found the old faded print when clearing out some stuff, scanned it and restored some colour using IrfanView and Picassa.
